REGISTERING TO VOTE

You can register to vote at your local Clerk’s office, or at any Secretary of State branch office. Online at Michigan Online Voter Registration (state.mi.us)

If you are registering less than 15 days before an Election, you must register to vote in person at your local Clerk’s office. Proof of residency will be required. (Examples of proof of residency are: Copy of a bank statement, any type of utility bill, gas, electric water or paycheck stub – any of these with your Chikaming Township address on it.) 2026 ELECTION DATES

Regular Election- May 5th, 2026

Primary Election- August 4th, 2026

General Election- November 3rd, 2026

The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Chikaming Township Hall, 13535 Red Arrow Highway, Harbert, Michigan.

PERMANENT BALLOT LIST

Those of you who have placed yourselves on the Permanent Ballot List will automatically receive an absentee ballot in the mail.

To request an Absentee Ballot please fill out the AV Application form
