Chikaming Township

A Community of Good Neighbors

Chikaming Township is beautifully located in scenic Southwestern Michigan on the shores of Lake Michigan a few miles north of the Indiana/Michigan border.

The Township’s character is largely defined by its attractive natural features. The most significant of these is the Lake Michigan shoreline, with its wooded sand dunes and expansive beaches.

  • Southwest Michigan Clean Water Survey-Do you know what contributed the most to the pollution of lakes, rivers and streams? We are curious about what you know and we have a 5-7 minute survey we would like you to take if you live or have a home in Berrien or Cass County. Storm water runoff (rain water) picks up a variety of pollutants from many sources and washes them into rivers, our ground water, and ultimately Lake Michigan. In fact, most of this polluted runoff begins at home. This survey will help us understand what you know about local water quality issues in Berrien and Cass Counties and take measures to achieve pollution reduction and improved water quality. You may follow the link HERE to take the survey electronically,or print the survey HERE to fill it out at home and mail it in to the addresS provided at the bottom of the survey.
